Hi All,

I've been watching the number of people complaining about the T50 and the fact that the adjustment utilities available do not appear to work properly.

In an effort to work out what the problem might be and hopefully identify a solution could you please provide the following information about your attempt so some sort of pattern can be figured out.

1. What operating system are you using?
[ WinXP, Win2000 Win98SE, WinME, Vista, Windows 7 ]

2. What version of the T50 utility are you using?
[ Please provide a link to the actual utility you downloaded! ]

3. What error did you receive when trying to use the utility?
[ DETAILS please... a screenshot would be even better!]

4. Any other information about your printer, your country and your computer would be useful...

Please DO NOT post on this thread if you have not tried the utility.. Anyone wasting time will be ignored, permanently!

Thanks for your help...

Come on folks...

It's all well and good posting demands for things to be fixed and to bully Orthatomine with your constant requests but if you don't help by providing more information it is going to be impossible to help you.

I've bought a EPSON Stylus Photo T50 printer with a CISS two weeks ago. I had problems with the magenta nozzle because of bad ink, so cleaning processes made my printer EEPROM block.

1. What operating system are you using?
I've tried the utilities with Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) and Windows XP Professional SP3 (x86).

2. What version of the T50 utility are you using?
I've downloaded and tried EEE, EHK and ETT OrTHoTaMiNe cracked APs.

3. What error did you receive when trying to use the utility?
With EEE and EHK versiones I get 21000010 and 21000011 communication error, always. When I try to check printer's status it says 'Check I/F cable' like when printer is disconnected or offline.
With ETT it starts to write de EEPROM but stops with 21000068 communication error. When I try to check printer's status it says 'Waste Ink Pad Counter Overflow Error'.
So, I think ETT version could be compatible in some way.

4. Any other information about your printer, your country and your computer would be useful...
I think my printer model is EPSON Stylus Photo T50 (EAI) Latin, bought in Argentina 01/13/2010. Assembled 06/29/2009.

Hope this information helps anyone and we can figure this out soon.

In Russian:

Epson T50.
WinXP RU SP2 32bit

Please, help me to attach screenshots...

Unfortunately this forum space doesn't allow you to do that...

You could use something like flickr to upload the shots and then provide a link..

IMHO videofile is more useful, than screenshots:

2-nd video:

More FPS, more information.

Definitely

Hmm... it looks like the program is checking the printer during the process of resetting and failing...

I also got an interesting message from another printer user trying the TX700W utility with a P710W... Apparently the exact same error message appeared for that one as well.

This 21000068 error seems to be affecting the newest printers even with older utilities...

IMHO, program is cheking hardware (or some unique system property) during counter checking or resetting...

if original T50 utility works well, when installed on official service center computer, but fails in other case, that is why it include some code for checking PC configuration...

I've looked at the T50 utilities and tried them with a P50 that I purchased recently to try out.

Having looked at them all I'm now pretty convinced that someone has hacked existing adjustment utilities to make them LOOK like T50 utilities but really they are for a completely different printer.

The 21000068 error is one that crops up when the printer is completely incompatible, eg: trying the R285 utility with the R1900 printer.

I could be wrong but something tells me that whoever released these is having a bit of a laugh while we chase our tails...
