As v4.2 is finally released, we ask all users to post in this topic found bugs and missing features for your printers.
Post printer model and detailed instruction how to reproduce bug. Or explain situation then feature don't work.
Note! All users posts in this topic will be deleted after some time and their contents added to first post.

Here are all problems known (and still unresolved) up to this date :
Protection counter reset problems : RX700, PM-970C.
Protection counter display problems : R320, Color 580.
Head exchange bugs : R800, R1800, R2400, Color 860(880), CX6400, CX3650, CX7800, Photo 900.
Freezer problems : R220, R320.
Other problems : R2400 have problems with colors display.

please support needed for CX2800. Only ink monitoring and cleaning works. noy the other features.

my rx510 only responds to nozzle check in ver 4.2. all other functions get the " printer not connected or some other problem". I have a Toshiba A80 1.46G celeron 512DDR 40G hdd running XP home with SP2. Also cartridges listed as TO481 to TO485 are actually TO491 to TO495, hence the adapter I built considers chips have bad data (genuine epson cartridges).

Tried ssc4.2 on system with AMD1700+XP on Asus A7n8x-x M/B with single 512 ddr running XP pro SP1. Had to load rx510 driver half a dozen times and remove and reload ssc4.2 (did this each reload). ssc then functioned and could read and reset protection counter, also read ink shots and ink freezer store count and restore count functioned but did not actually effect actual count. automatic ink freezer also did not have any effect. Have not yet retried adapter functions. The exchange cartridge functioned perfectly.
I did note printer on toshiba A80 laptop set port as virtual printer port on usb and would not set as local port. The Asus system also did this but on last reload set it as local port. Manually setting port did not allow ssc to function although setting installed printers to fax and printer type to unsupported allowed ssc to read ink levels accurately.

is there any possibility to work with c42sx .
Anybody rezoved this. i just need to reset cartidges .. i don't want more .

The utility loads and runs on my machine, but does nothing at all with ink counters. The "disable Epson status monitor" entry does not disable it, and ink counter freezing and resetting don't work (although the resetting issue may be the fact that the printer is newer).
I'm running SSC 4.20 and have an Epson Stylus Photo RX500. The software is correctly set for the RX500, and it shows the correct number and type of inks in the Reset Counters part of the menu system. The head cleaning section also works. |

I have an epson c42+ p[rinter, which model do I select in the printer model drop down menu please? I can not find c42+ in there.
